Spain-based
travel tech company Amadeus has announced it will partner
with Rappi, a Latin American “super app”

Amadeus and Rappi say they are innovating together to “develop the
travel vertical and add more features to scale,” and that they “share a vision
of frictionless travel.”

With its search and automation capabilities, the Amadeus Travel
Platform will power the Rappi Travel service and strengthen its growth, according
to the companies. Rappi says it has more than 30 million users in nine
countries who can search, book and manage their travel directly on Rappi
Travel.

Guido Becher, global head of Rappi Travel, says the partnership “will
allow us to transform people’s travel experience.”

Eduardo Schutte, senior vice president,
online, Americas at Amadeus, calls Rappi an elite app “that has built a huge
following.”

“We are extremely happy to
embark on this partnership with Rappi Travel at a time when more and more people
are booking their trips entirely on their mobile devices,” Schutte continues. “This
agreement sets the foundation for many exciting developments ahead between our
companies.”

Colombia-based Rappi was
founded in 2015.
